CBA’s Annual Corvette Raffle Brings Classics
Christian Brothers Academy – out of Syracuse, New York – is one of the many schools struggling to secure funding throughout this COVID-19 inflicted pandemic. The school hosts an annual Corvette raffle, and this year they brought out the big guns with this beautiful 1966 Convertible C2 Corvette that you can win.
Annemarie Mosley, Directory of Special Events at Christian Brothers Academy, had some words regarding the event: “The proceeds from the raffle go to help support CBA’s financial aid and scholarship program. Over 45% of CBA’s students are on financial aid or scholarship. We give out over $1,000,000 a year in financial aid.”
This Corvette in particular features a hardtop convertible chassis, 327 Cu – 300 horsepower engine married to a four-speed manual gearbox. The appraised value of this work-of-art comes in at approximately $66,000 USD. If you don’t manage to score the vette’, there are still some backup options so you don’t walk away empty-handed. The second and third drawings will take home $1000 and $500 respectively, so it’s still worth your time.
Typically the event relies on the local mall and state fare to showcase the vehicles, but with the pandemic running rampant and lockdowns closing weekend-going hotspots on the regular (especially in New York), the school will be relying on word-of-mouth and publications like this to show off this classic Corvette.
Tickets can be purchased from the school’s official website, and you can get a single ticket for $10, three for $20, and ten for $50. The raffle will come to a close on January 15th at 1:30 PM. Good Luck!
