For the 2018 model year, the Chevrolet Corvette celebrated its 65th anniversary by introducing the Corvette Carbon 65 Edition which was available for the 2018 Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models. The Corvette Carbon 65 Edition was limited to a total of just 650 numbered vehicles globally.
One of these limited cars is currently up for auction on Bring A Trailer with only 78 miles on the odometer. What makes this example even more unique is that it is one of thew few convertible Z06 models, equipped with the optional Z07 Ultimate Performance Package, designed to enhance track performance.
The Carbon 65 Edition features a Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior with Carbon 65 graphics and various carbon-fiber elements, including a hood insert, front splitter, side skirts, and a rear spoiler. As a convertible, it includes a blue soft top, xenon headlights, splitter end plates, front curb-view cameras, a vented carbon-fiber hood, and quad exhaust outlets. The rear spoiler features an adjustable wickerbill for added downforce.
The car rides on black 19″ front and 20″ rear Z06 aluminum wheels and boasts the Z07 suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, and an Active Handling System. Braking is handled by blue-finished Brembo calipers with carbon-ceramic rotors.
The Jet Black Nappa leather interior features a carbon-fiber and microsuede-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, front curb-view parking cameras, heated and ventilated Competition Sport bucket seats, a performance data recorder, navigation, a head-up display, and a Bose sound system.
Under the hood, this Z06 packs a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8, delivering 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a seven-speed manual transmission featuring active rev matching and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
