Greetings, CorvSport readers, and welcome to another installment of CorvSport’s bi-monthly series, where we bring you the Top 5 most interesting Corvettes that have recently sold around our community. We diligently follow the markets here at CorvSport, and they became even more interesting as the sales environment turned tumultuous heading into 2020. This has been a wild ride for enthusiasts, as the C8’s popularity (combined with supply chain issues and increased discretionary spending) created a dynamic where we saw used values increasing exponentially. And, let’s not forget about Chevrolet dealers consistently asking (and receiving) over MSRP on brand new Corvettes, even for entry-level trims.

As we move through the second half of 2024 and the dust from this market madness begins to settle, now it’s even more interesting than ever to follow the markets. This 1967 L79 Coupe was initially delivered to Bill Jacobs Chevrolet of Joliet, Illinois, and acquired by the original owner on November 11, 1966.
It was refurbished in the early 1980s and subsequently awarded Bloomington Gold certification before the current owner acquired it in 1990.
The sale includes a photo of the partial tank sticker retained on the tank, a binder of refurbishment documentation and photos, a photocopy of a 1988 Bloomington Gold certificate, and a 1990 NCRS scoring sheet.

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished under prior ownership, which involved installing a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and a six-speed manual transmission.
Following the current owner’s 2023 acquisition, work included installing a Van Steel Ultimate Ride and Handling package along with refreshing the blue interior, powder-coating the frame, and replacing braking components.
This C2 is also equipped with 17″ US Mags wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a stinger-style hood, and a blue soft top in addition to New Vintage USA gauges, power windows, a retro-style stereo, and USB ports.
