While Mecum and Barrett-Jackson have been known in the auction circles as the benchmarks for bringing top dollar for collector-grade classics, it’s important not to forget about “newcomer” Bring a Trailer. Their numbers are stellar, and while we don’t have any affiliation with Bring a Trailer, the value they bring to enthusiasts is undeniable. For instance, in November of 2024, they sold a remarkable 81% of their 3,723 vehicle listings, which included 1,615 that were offered without reserve. They started as a transparent selling platform where participation from the community was encouraged, and that message board remains open and very active to this day.
If you’re wondering who the all-time top Corvette dog is, a 2014 C7.R GT factory race car by Pratt & Miller sold in March of 2021 for $850,000. You can check out that listing here.
