How the remarkable eighth-generation Z06 elevated the Corvette brand is undeniable, highlighted by GM’s first flat-plane-crank V8. Most enthusiasts have the numbers imprinted in their brains by now, and in light of the C8 ZR1’s 1,064 horses, it’s easy for us to forget what the C8 Z06’s high-revving 670 horsepower LT6 did for the iconic Z06 variant. It literally catapulted the Z06 into supercar territory, performance-wise, while the price stayed within reach of most enthusiasts. Well, until the dealer markups entered the picture, but we’ll save that grievance for later. [Author’s Note: This article is FREE and not behind a paywall. For this market analysis, we will examine 2023 Z06s only, as we wanted “aged” units that have the longest time in the market. Our methodology for the 2023 Z06 market values is straightforward. We believe “comps” (i.e., previous sales) are the best measure of market value at any given time, so we will use the top auction platforms—Mecum and Bring a Trailer — to gather our market snapshots.
