The C8 Corvette reveal on July 18 will be one of the biggest events in the automotive world of the last several decades. It’ll be one of the most important Corvette reveals of all time. This will mark the official move to a mid-engine layout over the venerable front engine cars that have helped the Corvette become the brand it is today.
Getting invited is a true honor, and now you have a chance to go to the event even if you weren’t invited. The National Corvette Museum has two tickets to the event up for auction on eBay. The tickets include access to all of the GM activities planned for July 18 and 19. On the 19th General Motors will host an expo that will be used to give attendees an even closer look at the car.
The tickets include overnight accommodations during these days, food, a tour of a local automotive museum, bus transportation to all of the events, and a unique polo opportunity put on by the museum itself. One thing missing from the package is travel accommodations to Orange County, California. You’d have to buy your own plane tickets or find another way to get to the area.
The bidding started out at $100, and it quickly increased from there. The price at the time of this writing is $6,600. It’s clear by that price how important the C8 reveal is to Corvette fans and automotive enthusiasts in general.
