A 1967 L88 Corvette by Fabulous Restorations of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
A Florida Odyssey
The L88 was the pinnacle of C2 Corvette racing in 1967. If you start with a big block Corvette for a build, what better use can you find for it than to make it into a nut and bolt period correct L88 race car that is exactly what you might have found on race tracks of the day? Inspired by Cliff Gottlob’s 1967 L88 Corvette that came in second in class in the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona and amassed an amazing number of road race wins in the Midwest over 10 years, a client of Fabulous Restorations, a Corvette Specialty shop in Ft Lauderdale, Florida commissioned shop owner George Haddad to build the car.
