Rumors of the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 have been swirling since before the 2020 Corvette Stingray debuted, and now we’re just starting to get our first glimpses at the vehicle. Motor Authority shared several spy shots of what appears to be the Z06 model out and about.
The reason that the publication points to this as the Z06 is that the base Stingray model has been already been revealed so this has to be a higher-performance version of the car. Also, if you look closely at these images, the car has wider arches and that is a big enough hint that the car is likely the Z06.
There’s always the chance that this is not the Z06 and some other type of C8 Corvette. With that said, it would make sense based on previous rollouts of Chevrolet Corvettes that the Z06 would be the next in line in terms of trim levels for the car.
