Another Market Opens to the Corvette
The C8 Corvette is a new kind of Corvette and it has become a global icon. That’s why it’s exciting to see the car debut in the Middle East.
The Corvette was first unveiled in the Middle East at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show in November. From there, things were delayed due to the pandemic. Now, with a lot getting back on track, Chevrolet has announced that the car will head to the Middle East this month.
The car that will arrive first is the coupe. From there, Corvette Blogger notes that the hard-top convertible version arriving later at an unspecified date. We would imagine, this version of the car will come to the area of the world some time outside of October.
“The mid-engine design not only unlocks enhanced levels of performance but also demanded a complete redesign of the entire vehicle,” Head of Brand for Chevrolet Middle East, Farah Amhaz, said in a statement. “The powerful all-new LT2 V8 engine takes center stage as an integral part of the design, a tribute to the fastest and most powerful Corvette Stingray ever created.”
Some of the options will be restricted for this market, including the colors. Despite this Amhaz said he believes the car will be a huge hit with customers.
