The all-new mid-engine 2020 Corvette Stingray is here. When reinventing this iconic automobile, the creators broke barriers with a Corvette so advanced that the world of sports cars may never be the same.
Just 1,255 Corvettes were finished in Sebring Orange for the 2021 MY - making it a rarer color for future, would-be collectors.
The 2021 Corvette Stingray represents the sophomore model year of Chevrolet's beloved mid-engine sports car.  Arriving immediately on the tail of an abbreviated 2020 model year, the 2021 Corvette Stingray became one of the most sought-after sports cars of the year. Chevy added a number of new improvements, colors and options for the 2021 model year.
First, this engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated, internal combustion engine (by a good margin) of any production Chevrolet small-block ever produced. Boasting a massive 670 horsepower, the LT6 trumps almost all its Corvette predecessors (save for the 2019 Corvette ZR1 engine, which boasted 755 horsepower, but needed a supercharger).
Production of the 2021 Mid-Engine Corvette Stingray was cut short by General Motors. Production of the 2021 MY (model years) was paused in May and June, 2021, due in large part to an ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips. The Coupe proved the more popular bodystyle.
In June 2021, General Motors introduced the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, a special edition Corvette which commemorates the Corvette C8.R and its 2020 IMSA WeatherTech racing series championship. The car made its public debut at Belle Isle in Detroit. These special edition Corvettes were developed using styling cues from the Corvette C8.R race cars.
