Superformance Corvette Grand Sport Replica Now On PCARMARKET

600HP GM-licensed Corvette Grand Sport replica

To meet FIA homologation standards, Chevrolet was required to produce 125 units of the Corvette Grand Sport, but only five were finished before GM halted the project due to the 1957 Automobile Manufacturers Association ban on factory-backed racing. Although the cars were ordered destroyed, engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov secretly distributed three to private teams and hid the other two.

Years later, Superformance revived the Grand Sport by producing limited replicas that combine the original race car’s design with modern technology for better street usability. These replicas are built under GM’s license, allowing them to be titled as Corvettes.

This Grand Sport replica is finished in vibrant Monza Red with white racing stripes. Exterior features include hood vents, side fender vents, rear intake scoops, stainless steel side pipes, prominent fenders, and 18” polished wheels with new tires.

Inside, the cabin features black upholstery, carpeting, chrome accents, and custom gauges created by Classic Instruments to replicate the originals, including period-correct tachometer and speedometer needles. Additional features include a GT-branded steering wheel, center-mounted auxiliary gauges, a roll bar, and a rear shelf. Comfort features include power steering, brakes, windows, heating, and air conditioning.

Under the hood, the car is powered by a 358ci small-block V8 producing 600 horsepower, connected to a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. With independent rear suspension and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, it weighs about 900 pounds less than a 1963 Corvette.

This road-legal Grand Sport replica has been driven for only 10 miles since completion and is currently for sale on PCARMARKET.
