Stunning Record Setting ’53 Custom Kindig CF1 Corvette Hammers For $770,000

Check out the full details and pictures of this brilliantly imagined creation from Bitchin' Rides' Dave Kindig

A true masterpiece/Image Credit: Mecum

This is a historic benchmark sale for Dave Kindig, as the 1953 CF1 series was his first venture into a “series-built” car, and this extraordinary custom Corvette has been sending ripples throughout the community since its debut to the world at the 2021 SEMA show. If the name sounds familiar, you may have run across Dave Kindig on the reality TV show Bitchin’ Rides, where Dave and his cohorts restore and rebuild unique vehicles.

This year’s Mecum Kissimmee auction was record-setting in many ways, with 527 Corvettes offered and a remarkable 72% sales ratio. The top ten Corvette sales, which we featured here, nearly topped $8,000,000, with this custom Kindig placing an impressive 4th.
