The sixth-generation (C6) Corvette, introduced in 2005, remains a technical and design marvel. The high-performance Z06 version, also debuting that year, built on the Corvette’s impressive capabilities as the lightest model in its lineup. It featured a hand-built 7.0L LS7 V8 engine, producing 505 horsepower, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in any GM production car at the time.
In 2007, Chevrolet released the Ron Fellows Z06 Corvette, a limited edition model with just 399 units produced. Honoring Canadian racing legend Ron Fellows, all models were finished in Arctic White with double Monterey Red Metallic racing stripes featuring a Canadian Maple Leaf. Additional exterior touches included a full-width rear spoiler and a unique windshield banner. Inside, the car came with special red accents on the seats, console, and instrument panel, as well as a leather-covered armrest signed and numbered by Ron Fellows.
This limited edition Z06 pays tribute to Fellows’ significant contributions to Corvette racing, including helping develop the first Corvette C5.R race car and securing Team Corvette’s first win in 2000. The Ron Fellows Z06 is also notable for being the first signed, limited edition Corvette.
Powered by the LS7 V8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, it features a limited-slip differential, chrome 18″ and 19″ split-spoke wheels, xenon headlights, a head-up display, and Keyless Access. This particular example (#245 of 399) has only 7,000 miles and is now listed for sale on Bring A Trailer.
Another interesting fact about this particular Ron Fellows Z06 Corvette is that the car was stolen in May 2023 but recovered days later with front spoiler damage. The repairs, including replacing the spoiler, were reportedly completed by a GM dealer.
