An Awesome C2 Corvette With History
There’s something that ties extreme athletes and the Corvette together. Maybe it’s that top-notch performance, maybe it’s the car’s beautiful styling, or maybe it’s the car’s iconic status as America’s supercar. Whatever the reason is it makes sense that Bart Starr, the MVP of the first Super Bowl, would be presented with one after the game.
It’s also no coincidence that that same car is was driven by Brett Favre with Peyton Manning as a passenger in an episode of the upcoming series called Peyton’s Places. The series is was put together to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the NFL. What’s more important to us though, is the awesome car that they drive.
It’s a 1967 Corvette painted Greenwood Green. The car has a four-speed manual transmission, which Favre handles with ease. He even jokes, “Hey, I drive tractors every day. This is nothing compared to the tractor I drive around Mississippi.”
Bart Starr didn’t just have one Corvette. The man also owned 1968 Rally Red Corvette. According to Corvette Blogger, the green and red cars are usually on display at The Automobile Gallery in Green Bay, WI. It’s cool to see the car used in the video.
