As we enthusiasts cruise through summer and try to stay cool, Mecum has cranked up the heat again with another exciting collector car auction for us Corvette fanatics, the 2024 Florida Summer Special. Mecum opened its 2024 season with a bang, with a whopping 72% of the 527 Corvettes offered at the Kissimmee extravaganza selling. It was a record-setting kickoff, with over $275 million in sales, the most ever achieved at a collector car auction. As the dust settled, Mecum dubbed themselves the “undisputed” champion of collector car auctions, and CorvSport agreed wholeheartedly.

3 Notable Corvettes That Fell Flat

- This Hennessey-modified C8 looked like a beast; no doubt the seller dumped some coin in her, as the Hennessey H700 supercharger engine upgrade alone was $34,950.

- I have yet to see a 2024 E-Ray sell at auction. While the C8 Z06 was hot in the auction circles, the E-Ray is consistently underwhelming.
