Chevrolet turned heads with the mid-engine layout of the C8 Corvette, a departure from its predecessors. Now, it’s the E-Ray’s turn to bring major changes, fitting between the Stingray and the Z06.
It has a front wheel electric motor, and a big 6.2L LT2 V8 that together pumps out a total of 655 horsepower all of which are sent to the rear wheels. When using the included launch-control feature, the 2024 Corvette E-Ray can launch from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds, which makes this Corvette 0.1 seconds faster than the record-setting C8 Z06!
But the question remains: Is it the ultimate supercar that can outperform the competition? This is the question that Raiti’s Rides on YouTube will attempt to answer for us as he takes it for a drive around Pikes Peak International Raceway to get a better grasp of its full performance capabilities on a racetrack.
