Hennessey Performance, well known for their supercharged and turbocharged Corvettes among other vehicles, is a little sad to see the Corvette C7 go.
So much so, that they decided, with the 2020 and onward Corvette C8 being a mid engine, to give the C7 a last hurrah in a video.
It’s almost like a greatest hits for Chevrolet as well, with almost every type of C7 featured.
It all starts with a 2019 HPE1200 Corvette C7 ZR1 doing a lovely roaring flyby. This is quickly followed by the now famous HPE600 2013 Corvette C7 200 MPH run on a closed section of the Texas Grand Parkway toll road.
The video then takes a look back at the development and release of several kits, such as the arrival of the 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray arrival, as well as the 2015 Corvette C7 Z06 development vehicle.
It then goes through several models and kits, everything from the base level HPE500 kit for a normal C7 Stingray all the way up to the HPE1200 kit for the ZR1.
While the Corvette is only one of the vehicles that Hennessey Performance has worked its magic on, it is the most famous. We can only hope that in the coming years, with the Z06, ZR1, and other types of C8’s coming, that they will be as available to tune and work on as the C7’s were.
