No New Parts Needed
General Motors issued a technical service bulletin for the 2020 Corvette. The TSB was for a label with the wrong radio frequency identification number. It was affixed to the back of the radio display in the cabin of some C8 Corvettes.
This is a minor issue as you might expect. The fix is simple, too. The dealer will simply print a new label. That label will go inside the owner’s manual of the car. GM has also corrected the applicable Certificate Identification Numbers for the Near-Field Communication device with an updated label that’s fitted to the back of the radio.
Owners of the affected cars will also be asked to keep a letter from General Motors with the new Certificate Identification Numbers for the Near-Field Communication device in the glovebox of their cars, according to GM Authority.
According to GM, this issue will not impact future models. The process has been updated so that the correct label will go on all the right cars moving forwards.
