This Is the C1 You Really Want
The C1 Corvette is a fantastic car, but it is an old design and there are some compromises with an older design. One way to get around this is to take a C1 Corvette and modify it. When done tastefully, it can be a fantastic car. Right now there’s just such a car for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The car features a C5-sourced 5.7-liter LS-1 V8 engine that’s paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The car is finished in red over a black vinyl interior. You’ll also find beautiful chrome trim and a black soft top. The car has 17-inch rally wheels with Derby center caps and 235/60 BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport tires, fender vents, and a custom driveshaft and exhaust.
The car has all of the records from the build (it’s a total of over $74,000) and the seller also has a clean Colorado title. The car was repainted before the seller took ownership, and the convertible top latch was repaired in March 2017. At this time, the soft top sustained a small scuff. Otherwise, the car looks to be in excellent condition.
