A Good-Looking Find
If you’re in the market for a good C3 Corvette, then here is a good-looking car for you to consider. The vehicle was recently painted and it received an upgrade to a TH700R4 transmission. The frame has some minor rust but appears overall to be solid. The interior looks well taken care of, and the engine bay looks pretty clean, too. It’s currently for sale on Hemmings.
The L-82, 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 was rated for 225 hp when new. The odometer shows just 3,911 miles. While that’s not a whopping amount of power, Vettes from this era simply don’t make that much. The good news is that the engine looks more or less original and has not been messed with. According to the seller, the engine has not been rebuilt. There is an Accel HEI Super Coil on top of the distributor, though.
The seller notes that the car has been parked inside and will continue to be until the time of the sale. When new, the car would have featured the Turbo Hydra-Matic 350c transmission. It is unclear when the TH700R4 transmission with an overdrive fourth gear was added, but it’s a good addition.
The car also features power steering. All of the brake calipers, hoses, master cylinder, backing plates and pad have been replaced in the last few months. The car has Chevrolet Rally wheels with center caps that wear 255/60R15 Goodrich Radial TA tires.
The exterior of the car has a green metallic basecoat and clearcoat. The car was professionally repainted in April of 2020. All emblems and badges are in place. The mirrored T-Tops appear to be in good condition, too. The headlights also pop up as they’re designed to.
The seller has a clear New York title for the car. At the time of this writing, the bidding is up to $6,200. There are a little more than two days left on the auction.
