Bring A Trailer is proud to offer a striking example of a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie. This C1 Fuelie is reportedly one of the 142 examples made for the 1959 model year that came with a heavy-duty suspension and ventilated drum brakes. The car recently received an NCRS Top Flight Award in October 2022. It’s an award given to Corvettes that still retains their original look when they came out of the factory.
The car is finished in red with white coves over a red interior that features bucket seats that comes with color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. This C1 Fuelie was repainted in red when it was refurbished in the early 2000s. Other exterior features include a white soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, quad headlights, a left-side mirror, fuel-injection badges, 15” wheels, and split chrome bumpers.
Power is sourced from a 283ci V8 features a Rochester mechanical fuel-injection system and Corvette-script valve covers. The engine was rated to produce 290 horsepower all of which are sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is a comprehensively refurbished example of the iconic American sports car. As further proof of its elegance and styling, this C1 Corvette will come with a 2022 NCRS award upon the completion of the sale.
