In 1967 (the C2’s final year on the market), Chevy introduced the L71 version of the 427. Rated at 435 horses, it powered the meanest iteration of the C2 ‘Vette. Come 2022 and the L71 is among the most desirable Corvettes out there. And it’s quite rare, too, because Chevrolet made only 3,754 examples. This particular example currently being auctioned on Bring A Trailer is one of them.
It’s also worth noting that this ’67 Corvette has bagged a number of awards on its name that includes 2020 NCRS 4-Star and 5-Star Bowtie, 2018 NCRS Top Flight, 2019 Performance Verification, and 2019 Duntov Mark of Excellence awards as well as 2018 Bloomington Gold Benchmark, OEM, Survivor, and the MCACN Triple Diamond and Gold Concourse awards.
Finished in Marlboro Maroon over black vinyl upholstery, the car features a fiberglass body, a black convertible top, side exhaust outlets, a transistor ignition system, four-wheel disc brakes, Rally wheels, an analog clock, woodgrain steering wheel, and a push-button AM/FM radio.
Power is derived from a 427ci L71 V8 fitted with a transistor ignition system and three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 435 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a Muncie close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 Positraction rear axle.
Don’t miss this chance to acquire a classic Corvette that has several decades of excellence and a seriously impressive trophy case. Place your bids on Bring A Trailer now before it’s too late!
