Following its 2015 victories at the Daytona Rolex 24 and Sebring 12 Hours, Chevrolet introduced the 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition to celebrate the achievements of Corvette Racing and the C7.Rs built by Pratt & Miller and Chevrolet. Limited to 650 units, including 500 for the U.S., including this example, offered for sale on Cars & Bids with just 394 miles on the odometer since new.
Equipped with the Z06 performance package and the 3LZ trim level, this special edition C7.R embodies the Corvette’s race-inspired heritage. Finished in Corvette Racing Yellow with a Jet Black interior, it features black C7.R stripes, a front splitter with end plate extensions, a rear spoiler with a clear Gurney flap, and Spectra Gray Metallic grilles and vents for enhanced aerodynamics and style.
The Jet Black interior features suede microfiber on the instrument panel, doors, Competition sport seats, steering wheel, and shifter, accented by yellow contrast stitching, carbon fiber trim, and Corvette Racing sill plates.
Adding to its exclusivity, the C7.R Edition comes with a custom indoor car cover featuring C7.R graphics. It also offers premium amenities such as dual-zone climate control, a MyLink Bose audio system, navigation, and heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats with yellow stitching.
Under the hood, the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 engine delivers an impressive 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, channeled through an automatic transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential. Advanced Magnetic Ride Control with performance traction management, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with yellow calipers, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires mounted on black and yellow-accented alloy wheels ensure exceptional handling and stopping power.
