FOR SALE: 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GTR by Specter Werkes/Sports

One of just 25 C5 models modified with the widebody GTR package by Specter Werkes/Sports

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is already a high-performance vehicle, but this 2002 C5 model has been taken to new heights by Specter Werkes/Sports of Troy, Michigan.

It is one of just 25 C5 models upgraded with the widebody GTR package and is powered by a Katech-built C5-R 427ci V8 engine, reportedly generating around 640 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, according to a dyno sheet.

The GTR package, designed by Jeff Nowicki, adds a widebody kit with 3″ additional width up front and 6″ in the rear, giving the car a more aggressive stance. The exterior is finished in white with red and blue stripes, featuring projector-style fixed headlights, a vented cowl-induction hood, enlarged front fender vents, rocker panel extensions, and a rear wing. It rides on 19″ Forgeline GS1R wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Inside, the car features black leather high-back bucket seats with Z06 and GTR embroidery, along with a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, and a Bose sound system. The odometer shows 7,000 miles, with under 2,000 miles driven by the current owner.

Performance upgrades include a six-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, and a custom dual exhaust system with long-tube headers. The car also benefits from oil coolers for the engine, gearbox, and rear differential. Additional suspension upgrades, such as Pfadt Race Engineering anti-sway bars and SKF wheel bearings.
