One of just 188 with the LS6 from 1971
The 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe you see here is just one of the 188 examples that rolled off the assembly line with the LS6 engine for that model year. This car is currently for sale at Bring A Trailer.
The Corvette Coupe is painted in Sunflow Yellow over a black leather interior. The car experienced a body-off refurbishment in 2005 after the seller acquired the car. Work was done to both the body and the mechanical parts of the car. Today it is in fantastic condition and will really catch the eye of anyone on the road.
The car features a 454 cubic inch LS6 V8 engine that’s mated to a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes a Positraction rear differential, 15-inch wheels, power steering and brakes, power windows, a Delco stereo system, and a removable T-top.
This Corvette was the recipient of an NCRS Top Flight Award from the Nebraska Chapter in 2009. It is offered with some Chevrolet literature on the car, a window sticker, a tank sticker, all records of the refurbishment, dyno sheets, and a clean Nebraska title in the seller’s name.
The car’s auction on Bring A Trailer will end in four days. At the time of this write-up, bidding has reached $72,500. There’s still time to capture this gem of a sports car.
I own a second owner Corvette 2007 with 25,000 miles on it. It was purchased through th Corvette museum and has the door jamb stickers to prove it. This Vette has never seen rain or any precipitation that I know of.
