Feel the Wind in Your Hair and Shift Your Own Gears
The 1971 Corvette Convertible you see here appears to be a real gem. It’s currently for sale at Bring A Trailer. The car features a fuel-injected 350ci ZZ4 V8 engine connected to a five-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in green over green leather, making it one mean green machine. It has a black soft top.
The car shows 9,500 miles. It was recently refurbished and new equipment includes pop-up headlights, driver-side mirror, dual exhaust outlets, chrome window surround, bumpers, all-new trim, a new hood, rear decklid, and convertible top. Some fiberglass cracks are noted by the seller, but they’re small and hardly noticeable.
The car features 18-inch US Mags wheels, Firestone Firehawk tires, red Wilwood brake calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, Hydro-boost brake-assist, and Steroids rack-and-pinion steering. The interior features some clamshell bucket seats from a 1979 Corvette. They were reupholstered in green leather and so was the dash, center console, and door panels. There’s wind-up windows, an aftermarket Alpine stereo with a remote, and a polished shift knob.
The ZZ4 engine was installed during the refurbishment and features a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake, aluminum Edelbrock cylinder heads, an aluminum radiator, and an electric fan. The seller did do an oil and transmission oil change in March of 2020.
The car will be sold with a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name. At the time of this writing, the price is up to $20,000 and there are seven days left on the listing.
