Red and Gorgeous
If you’re looking for a good second-generation Corvette Convertible to own, then this 1966 Corvette Convertible L79 might be for you. The C2 Corvette is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The car features a Milano Maroon paint job over a black interior. The engine is a numbers-matching 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end. Boose Chevrolet of Brookville, Ohio, sold this car when it was new. Over the course of many years, the car became in need of a refurbishment, and a previous owner did so. That owner had the National Corvette Restorers Society restore the car to its former glory in 2009.
In 2019, the seller acquired the car. Today the car is offered with a tan soft top, a removable hardtop, a copy of the original window sticker, the 1966 purchase invoice, its Protect-O-Plate, the NCRS certificate, refurbishment photos, and a clean North Carolina title.
Originally, the car featured the N11 offroad exhaust. This has been replaced by some side pipes by a previous owner. The car also wears some turbine-style wheels with three-eared knock-off spinners. Those wheels wear Coker Classic Goldline tires. There are around 13,000 miles on the odometer.
At the time of this writing, the bidding is up to $60,000. There are around four days left on this auction, so if you want to make this Corvette yours, you have some time.
