FOR SALE: 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible LS3

A modified 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8.

The C2 Corvette is renowned for being one of the best-looking Corvettes and has become popular choice for restomod projects. Although we want to preserve their beauty and elegance, it’s really hard to say not to like a stunning 1966 Corvette that combines its original look with the performance of a modern day sports car.

Originally built in 1966, this particular Corvette currently available via auction on Bring A Trailer has undergone significant modifications that sets it apart from its stock configuration.

Custom Restorations LLC of River Vale, New Jersey, refurbished and customized this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. It now boasts a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine mated to a 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end.

The car features a striking red exterior with a black soft top and an interior with distressed brown upholstery. The fiberglass body is mounted on an Art Morrison chassis, which incorporates tubular front A-arms, a four-link rear suspension system, adjustable coilovers, and power rack-and-pinion steering.

Additional enhancements include staggered-diameter Schott wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, a TSP Velocity intake manifold, tubular headers, side-exit exhaust pipes, Vintage Air climate control, electric windows, a Lokar shifter, an Ididit steering column, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and an AM/FM radio modified for Bluetooth connectivity.

All of this makes this 1966 Corvette the perfect weekend cruiser or as a head turner at any car shows and events!
