Get a Piece of Corvette History for Your Garage
Say hello to this beautiful 1954 Chevrolet Corvette. This car is a drop-dead gorgeous example of an early C1 Corvette. The car is currently for sale on Bring-A-Trailer. The vehicle features a Sportsman Red exterior with a tan convertible top over a red interior. Under the hood of this Vette is a 235ci Blue Flame inline-six paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
The car underwent a full restoration by Corvette Mike in Anaheim, California, in the early 2000s. The vehicle’s equipment includes a push-button AM radio, aftermarket lap belts, 15-inch whitewall tires, triple Carter side-draft carburetors, and “beehive” air cleaners. The 1954 model year, was only the second year for the Corvette and helped the model make the necessary steps that have led up to what the car is today. This model is an important part of Corvette history.
The windshield is not original and has been replaced. Also, the factory straps that hold the top in the lowered position are currently missing. The car has four-wheel drum brakes, and independent front suspension, the rear suspension is the leaf springs in the rear, which is typical for a C1. The odometer shows 21k miles, but the true mileage is unknown. At the time of this writing, there are six days left on the auction and the bidding is currently up to $21,000.
