Ever since the Corvette has been introduced in 1953, it has become America’s sports car. Also, people have been modifying them in any way they can just to make their Corvettes look meaner and more powerful. However, modifying a classic Corvette is not an easy thing to do and there’s more to it than simply adding a big engine.
The folks at Detroit Speed managed to create one of the most gorgeous C3 Corvettes you can find today and they let Matt Farah from TheSmokingTire have a look at it. The car is powered by a 600-horsepower LS3 and sports 355 rear tires, but what makes it very special is its new its suspension and steering. The result is a Corvette that’s built to win autocrosses!
