Here’s a drag race for you brought to us by Motorsport Magazine pitting a C8 Corvette against the mighty Porsche 911 GT3.
The C8 Corvette participating in the race is the European version which is capable of generating 475 horsepower (355 kilowatts) and 452 pound-feet (613 Newton-meters) of torque from its is naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8. In the United States, the ‘Vette offers 495 hp (369 kW) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The latest 911 GT3 features a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 502 horsepower (374 kilowatts) and 346 pound-feet (469 Newton-meters) of torque. The video showcases the model with the seven-speed PDK, but a six-speed manual is also available.
