While our official publication will follow later today/tomorrow to break down the events that unfolded over the last 24 hours at the Rolex 24 in Daytona, we just wanted to take a moment to congratulate both the team of the No. 4 Corvette driven by Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Marcel Fassler on their class victory in GTLM as well as the No. 3 Corvette team on their P2 finish! The last 20 minutes of the race came down to an all-out shootout between the No. 4 Corvette and, incredibly, the No. 3 Corvette driven by Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Mike Rockenfeller. Despite a momentary pass by the No. 3 car, Gavin, who piloted the No. 4 Corvette for the final stint of the race, held off his teammate to a narrow victory earlier this afternoon! The No. 3 crossed the finish line just a few feet behind for a P2 finish. For Corvette enthusiasts everywhere, it doesn’t get much better than this!
