The C8 Corvette showcases Chevrolet’s new folding hard-top roof inspired from the ones that we see from Ferrari and McLaren. As the eighth generation of the Corvette was developed, the company put a lot of effort and attention in designing the car’s mid-engine chassis so it can accommodate a removable roof. The roof is actually comprised of 2 main parts that are stored away under the tonneau cover behind the cabin and above the engine compartment, which only takes 16 seconds and can be activated at speed of up to 30 mph.
