Much like its less-powerful counterparts, the 2018 Corvette Z06 returned featuring most of the same technologies and optional offerings as had been available when purchasing earlier models of the Z06 Corvette.
Like other C7 Z06’s that came before it, the 2018 model features an LT4 supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that was SAE-certified at 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. While this would be surpassed a year later by the 2019 Corvette ZR1, the 2018 Corvette Z06 was at that time the most powerful production Corvette ever built and made available to consumers in the open market.
The 2018 Z06 featured several enhancements over standard models. It came with Michelin Pilot Super Sport P285/30ZR19 front tires, which were 1.5 inches wider than those on the base Stingray, and rear tires measuring 335/25ZR20, two inches wider. Its exterior design included components aimed at reducing lift and addressing cooling needs for the engine and brakes.
Additionally, the 2018 Z06 offered a five-position Drive Mode Selector that adjusted 12 vehicle settings to suit various driving conditions. It also included Magnetic Ride Control and Performance Traction Management as standard. An optional Z06 package provided adjustable aero components, Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires for better grip, and Brembo carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors for enhanced braking and handling.
Refinements for the 2018 model included new wheel options, a Gray interior, Spice Red convertible top, and updated interior color stitching. It also featured standard HD digital radio, an improved Performance Data Recorder with additional data channels, and enhanced rear-view camera and Head-Up Display features.
