The C6 Corvette, introduced in 2005, built upon the improvements of the C5 model and introduced special editions like the ZR1, Z06, and Grand Sport. The Grand Sport, unveiled at the National Corvette Museum in 2010, featured upgrades for improved handling, including stiffer springs, revised shocks, thicker anti-sway bars, wider tires with lightweight aluminum wheels, and Z06 brakes.
The manual transmission had different gear ratios and launch control, while automatic transmissions had specific rear end gearing. Manual-equipped coupes received hand-built LS3 6.2L V-8 engines. Production for the C6 Corvette ceased in 2013, with the C7 introduced in 2014.
This 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible, one of just 243 produced in 2012, is finished in Carlisle Blue and is among the 112 Grand Sports with Code 316, featuring a two-tone Cashmere and black interior. The power-operated Cashmere-colored convertible top allows for quick adjustments.
The car is powered by a 6.2L LS3 V-8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, power bucket seats, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, and polished five-spoke wheels with low-profile tires.
