To commemorate the 1978 Indy 500 pace car, Chevrolet produced a total of 500 30th Anniversary Indy 500 pace cars that were available in coupe or convertible form in 2008. Each of these cars were signed personally by Emerson Fittipaldi. They were all finished in black and features silver graphics that honors the 1978 model.
The car was fitted with Corvette’s 3LT option package, Z51 performance package and dual mode exhaust. Power is derived from a LS3 small block V8 with 436hp. It also came with forged chrome 5-spoke aluminum wheels, Corvette Z06 rear spoiler, silver checkered flag graphics and Indy 500 logo fender badge.
