Corvette Of The Day: 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition

The 2007 Corvette Pace Car Edition was based on the Z51 Performance Package. It was powered by a 6.0L LS2 V-8 engine delivering 400 HP, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transaxle with performance-oriented gearing.

Inside, the car featured an ebony leather interior accented with Atomic Orange painted trim, Indy 500 logos embroidered on the headrests, and a host of amenities, including an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bose speakers, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, a tachometer, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.

Additional exterior and performance features included a Z06-style rear spoiler, quad exhaust tips, gray brake calipers, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and cross-drilled, vented disc brakes measuring 13.4 inches in the front and 13 inches in the rear. The car rode on Sterling Silver alloy wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, and the convertible version featured a power-operated black soft top for open-air driving.
