In 2006, Chevrolet introduced the Corvette Z06, a high-performance model inspired by the C6.R racers that dominated Le Mans in 2005. It features a 7.0L LS7 V-8 engine generating 505 HP and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Z06 showcased cutting-edge technology and lightweight materials like a magnesium roof, aluminum frame, and carbon fiber fenders. Its Competition Gray wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, combined with powerful disc brakes featuring 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, ensured top-tier handling and stopping power.
This particular 2006 Z06 is upgraded with a 440ci LS-style V8, ProCharger F1X supercharger, COMP camshaft, and ported heads, delivering 1,006 horsepower and 802 lb-ft of torque. It reached a top speed of 208.9 mph at the 2013 Texas Mile.
