Corvette Of The Day: 2003 Chevrolet Corvette CRC Conversion

This C5 Corvette is a 1962 conversion done by Classic Reflection Coachworks (CRC). With a painstakingly faithful ’62 body designed on Boeing’s 3D modeling computers and rendered in the same carbon fiber composite that Aston Martin, Mercedes-McLaren and other ultra high-end European brands use, the quality of the CRC conversions is second-to-none.

The CRC Corvette features a C5 chassis, running gear, and interior, with a 5.7L LS1 V-8 engine and 6-speed manual transmission, adorned with vintage Corvette-scripted valve covers. Its blend of subtle and overt design details is sure to impress, including power-operated bucket seats, windows, locks, steering, and brakes, dual-zone climate control, and a Bose stereo system. Despite these modern amenities, the factory upholstery of the C5 subtly mimics the 1962 original pattern, and CRC adds a custom touch to the top of the door panels.
