This 1990 Callaway Corvette Super Speedster is one of only three cars equipped with the turbocharged LT5, the same engine which powered the Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette to 254.76 mph. Also known as the Series II, only two Speedsters came equipped with the turbocharged LT5, and this is the only one wearing the Paul Deutschman-designed AeroBody. Unlike the earlier Series 1 speedsters, the Super Speedster is based on the Corvette ZR1 and a 750 bhp twin turbo LT5 which used a new engine management, fuel injection, exhaust, headers and catalytic converters to achieve over 750 bhp.
