Manufactured on November 17, 1966, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe found its initial owner in Dr. Bill Geen of California, who raced it in various motorsport events. Dr. Geen, in collaboration with Greg Pickett, co-founded Pickett Racing in the early 1970s. Together, they use the car for SCCA A-Production road racing, subsequently participating in IMSA, SCCA, and Trans Am events adorned with the distinctive #7 Pickett Racing livery from 1972 to 1976.
Transitioning to its second owner, Stan Laskin, the car achieved victory in the SCCA Regions A-Production Championship’s final year in 1978 and continued its competitive journey until 1981. Following a refurbishment in 2003, the vehicle actively participated in HMSA, SVRA, VARA, and HSR West competitions until 2007.
Painted in a striking metallic blue hue and featuring a replica #7 Pickett Racing livery, this Corvette is propelled by a replacement short-stroke 427ci V8 mated to a Jerico four-speed manual transmission and a rear end with a 3.70:1 final drive ratio.
Noteworthy features include dry-sump lubrication, a Braswell carburetor, Strange Engineering stub axles, a KRC quick-ratio steering box, dual master cylinders, 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust D II wheels, a cowl-induction hood, a custom removable front clip, a roll cage, a fire suppression system, an AiM data-logger, a single racing seat, and a wood-rimmed quick-release steering wheel.
