In 2009, this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette earned two prestigious awards: the Goodguys Street Machine of the Year and the SEMA GM Design Award for Best Hot Rod.
Commissioned by its current owner, this masterpiece, known as C1RS, was envisioned as an unparalleled Resto Mod work of art. It all starts with a custom tube chassis by Roadster Shop, incorporating Detroit Speed and Afco suspension components, Forgeline 3-piece wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and massive Brembo disc brakes.
Every facet of the car, down to the one-of-a-kind carbon fiber body accents and the European-inspired leather interior with custom aluminum dash, console, and trim, received a custom touch. Under the hood lies a Kinsler Cross Ram-injected 427/640 LS7 engine, mated to a Tremec T56 Bowler 6-speed transmission, and a Ford 9-inch Posi third member, completing the powertrain of this mesmerizing showpiece.
