This Kindig CF1 is a bold reimagining of the classic Chevrolet Corvette, commissioned by Corvette Mike and created in 2023 by Kindig-It Designs based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Constructed with carbon-fiber bodywork finished in Caviar metallic and adorned with Pebble Stone upholstery, this exceptional vehicle boasts a powerful Lingenfelter-built 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine paired with a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission.
Dave Kindig, the visionary behind Kindig-It Designs, holds a profound appreciation for the original 1953-1955 Chevrolet Corvettes. However, he recognized their inherent limitations in power, handling, and interior space. Thus, he embarked on a mission to address these shortcomings while preserving the essence of the original design, resulting in a contemporary interpretation of the classic.
To achieve this vision, Kindig-It shortened the car’s nose and expanded the interior space by approximately 4 inches, all without altering the original wheelbase. Dave’s aim was to ensure that individuals of varying heights and sizes could experience the CF1 Custom Roadster comfortably. Lower floor pans were integrated compared to the original Corvette, and a Roadster Shop chassis was utilized to support the engine, transmission, suspension, and other components.
