The Corvette Bash Returns to Bowling Green This April!
No other event marks the start of “Corvette Season” like the Michelin NCM Bash!
Each year, the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky hosts this awesome event wherein Corvette owners and enthusiasts alike gather to get up-close-and-personal with the next model year Corvettes. The NCM Bash marks the official start of the Museum’s on-site event season and is one of the largest events held there each year.
2018 NCM Bash
The 2018 NCM Bash, which will be hosted by the National Corvette Museum on April 26-28, 2018, will provide enthusiasts a chance to see the new 2019 Corvette Stingray in all its iterations, including the Grand Sport, the Z06 and for the first-time ever, the 2019 Corvette ZR1. Fans of the ZR1 will have the opportunity to attend seminars and get all the latest information on the new super-car.
As in years past, there will be a large contingent of GM engineers and designers from the Warren Tech Center and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. This year, scheduled showcase speakers will include Tadge Juechter – Corvette Chief Engineer, Kirk Bennion – Corvette Designer, and Harlan Charles – Chevrolet Corvette Product Marketing Manager. As in years past, this team (along with other speakers throughout the event) will present on the 2019 model year Corvettes and will remain onsite throughout the day to answer questions and meet with enthusiasts for pictures and autographs.
In addition to the engineering and marketing groups, Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing’s Program Manager will be at the event to discuss the upcoming racing season and to answer questions about the teams and about the Corvette C7.R Race Car. General Motors Paul Pearson will present his “7th Generation Infotainment/Navigation Seminar.” This entertaining and informative presentation is designed to provide owners with a greater understanding of the many capabilities that their C7 Corvette Stingray’s individual infotainment centers is capable of.
Other activities scheduled for the event include:
- A presentation of the restored 1962 Sinkhole Corvette
- An LT4 engine building demonstration by Brian Lee and John Wurth from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant
- A seminar and classroom sessions hosted by GM certified technicians Paul Koerner & Brittany George
- Guided road tours around Bowling Green (and surround areas)
- Two celebrity choice car shows,
- The Ladies’ Oasis
- An expanded Garage Party with Women of the GM Corvette Team
The three day event will also host a plethora of other activities interspersed throughout the event. A complete schedule of activities is listed below.
Anyone interested in attending the NCM Bash may register online between now and 8:00am (central time) on Tuesday, April 18, 2018. All activities will be open to event registrants only. Anyone registering online will receive a hard-card credential, a lanyard, an event pin and a dash plaque. Cost for early registration is $15.00 (per person) for lifetime members of the NCM, $20.00 (per person) for members and $30.00 (per person) for non-members.
Anyone who misses the online pre-registration will have the opportunity to register onsite at a slightly higher rate of $20/$25/$35 respectively. No refunds or cancellations will be accepted once advance registration closes.

9:00am – 11:00am | Paul Koerner & Brittany George Classroom – Prepping Your Corvette for TrackThere are many facets to Corvette and these vehicles are track capable right out of the wrapper. This does NOT mean that they do not require proper preparation prior to placing them on the racetrack. In this in-depth classroom, we will cover all models from 2005 to present date. ZO6, ZR1 and Z51 will all be covered, including correct oil, lubricants, tires, alignment specifications and other details that sometimes are missed. Question and answer will also be a part of this class! Buckle your 5-point harness, this will be something NOT to miss!

9:00am – 11:00am | S1: Using 7th Generation NavigationHaving trouble understanding your Stingray navigation? Paul will walk you through it with his big screen presentation in hopes of steering you straight and getting you to your destinations with ease!

9:00am – 3:30pm | LT1: Shifting and ShootingJoin us for our 2nd annual Shifting and Shooting event at the scenic 2,000-acre Rockcastle Shooting Center. Begin with a scenic drive on our KY back-roads. Then, shoot for fun, or for points with a trophy awarded to the winner. Lunch, ammunition, and firearms will be provided with Range Officers at each station to ensure a fun and safe event.
To keep the playing field level, we ask that you use the provided firearms. You may bring your own handgun for target practice between events, but you must provide your own ammunition if you do. This should be an action-packed day of firing range fun with Corvette Friends. |

1:00pm – 2:30pm | S4: Hand Building the LT4 Engine Watch as the Performance Build Center Team completely disassembles and reassembles an LT4 engine from top to bottom. Feel free to ask the team about the parts, the engine, and the process during the build. After the team has finished building the engine from the bare block they will talk about the testing, sequencing, and other processes to get the final engine ready to go in a Z06 Corvette.
