The C7 Corvette is a true force to be reckoned with, especially the Corvette Grand Sport. The car punches well above its $65,900 price tag, competing with European and Japanese cars that are way more expensive than it. In a recent track battle put on by the YouTube channel sport auto, the Corvette proved just how impressive it truly is.
In the video below, you’ll see just how close the Corvette Grand Sport comes to beating the Porsche 911 Carrera S around a racing circuit. It’s unfortunate the car didn’t win, but a 0.8-second difference between the two is so darn close. When you compare the prices of the cars it becomes clear which gives you a better bang for your buck.
The Porsche 911 Carrera S has a starting price of $113,300. The difference between the 911 and Corvette’s price is 47,400. That’s a lot of money to pay for a 0.8-second difference. You could buy yourself another nice car or SUV for that difference in price. This proves just how good the C7 Corvette is, and it shows why we’ll thoroughly miss the car when the C8 Corvette is officially debuted in July of this year.
