Camouflaged Up, But Definitely the Vette

We recently shared leaked images of the interior of the C8 Corvette and have to say it looks amazing. Now, we’re giving you a look at the new mid-engine Corvette’s exterior. The car was spotted on the highway, presumably on its way to GM’s Milford proving grounds.

Chuck Jackson, Assignment Editor for Local4News, in Detroit, spotted the car on the road in full camouflage. While the camo wrap obscures the C8’s details, there are some things you can see, like the massive air scoops and the car’s overall shape.

GM could be adding things in under the camo to obscure the car’s true design. For the most part, you can get a general idea of what the car will look like. I can say I’m pretty pleased.

If you look closely, you can see the interior of the car. That means the interior shots of the of the C8 we shared earlier are likely correct. You can just barely see the new flat-bottom steering wheel and part of the dash. If you haven’t checked out those interior shots, please do. They’re worth a look.

There’s still no word yet on when the car will make its official debut. Apparently, it could be delayed due to electrical issues. Chevy obviously wants the car to debut without a hitch. If they need to take more time to make that happen, I’m all for it.

With that said, it’s a shame the car won’t hit the stage in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. However, it doesn’t really matter where Chevy debuts this model. People will flock to it.
