Chevy Says the C8.R and Convertible Will Be Revealed Fall of 2019

Get Ready for More of the C8 Corvette

We knew the C8 racing car and the C8 Convertible were coming, but we weren’t sure when. Honestly, we thought it would be next year. It would give Chevy some big news in 2020. However, the company just recently revealed a new teaser video that shows both cars in it. The caption of that video says simply, “To be revealed Fall 2019.”

That’s coming up pretty quick. We don’t know exactly when or even have a specific month. However, it’s clear that the convertible and the racing car will break cover before the year ends. Chevy teased both of these cars in the official reveal of the 2020 Corvette Stingray coupe. We reported on this fact when the car first debuted, but now we know that these cars won’t be coming sometime in 2020. It’ll happen only a few months after the reveal of the coupe.

Prices for the convertible have not been announced, obviously. However, you can bet that it will cost more money than the coupe. With a starting price under $60,000 for the coupe, we hope the convertible won’t add too much. If Chevy can keep the starting price for the convertible under $70,000 we’ll be happy. We’ll keep an eye out for more details. Until then, view the teaser video below.
