Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 vs Tuned Ferrari Pista

The Drag Times YouTube channel is back again with another awesome drag race featuring a C8 Corvette Z06 going head-to-head against a tuned Ferrari Pista.

In its stock factory setting, the 488 Pista equipped with a mid-mounted 3.9-liter V8 engine delivers 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque through a seven-speed automatic gearbox with dual clutches. This enables the Pista to achieve a top speed of 211 mph and a zero-to-sixty-two miles per hour time of 2.85 seconds. However, this Pista is further enhanced with an additional 150 hp, resulting in a total of 860 hp.

On the other hand, we have the C8 Corvette Z06, featuring a naturally aspirated, 5.5-liter, flat plane crankshaft V8 engine that revs up to 8,600 RPM, inspired by Ferrari’s 458 Italia engine. The Z06 generates 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, and it comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission with two clutches, weighing in at 3,600 lbs. While its top speed is a conservative 195 mph according to Chevrolet, the Z06 accelerates faster than the Pista, completing the 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.7 seconds. When equipped with the Z07 performance package, the Z06 can complete the sprint in just 2.6 seconds, a tenth of a second faster.
