Production and customer delivery of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe began in September 2013. Corvette assembly plant tours in Bowling Green, Kentucky began in October 2013. In all, a total of 94,529 C7 Corvettes were sold.
The momentum continued from 1956 into 1957 with production volumes ramping up. 6,339 units were produced in 1957, up from 3,467 units in 1956.
C3 production volume started strongly in 1968 with 28,566 cars built, with 18,630 convertibles and 9,936 coupes. Production volumes grew quickly in the second year with coupe volume overtaking convertibles with 22,129 units.

There were 215,223 C6 Corvettes produced. The C6 started selling well, the new body style as well as fixed headlights design proving popular. In its first and second years, a total of 37,372 and 34,021 units were produced.
In 2016, a total of 40,689 Corvettes were produced. Production volume for the C7 peaked in 2016 and was the only 40,000+ unit year in terms of output at the Bowling Green factory.
When combined with the extra-long model year, Corvette’s sales reached a total of 51,547 units – which was the second highest total in Corvette history.
Chevrolet sold 40,614 Corvettes in 1980, which was roughly a 20 percent decline in sales from the 1979 model year. At the same time, the numbers were still respectable.
In 1998, a total of 31,084 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was strong for the second year of C5 production at Bowling Green, KY in 1998.
1960 saw the Corvette break the 10,000 unit production mark with a total of 10,261 units produced for the 1960 model year.
Despite these minimal changes to the car, the 1975 Corvette’s sales numbers continued to rise over the previous model year. In total, 38,465 Corvettes were sold that year.
In 2015, a total of 34,240 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was strong for the second year of C7 production at Bowling Green, KY despite being down slightly versus 2014. A decent year given the slowing demand for sports cars.
A total of 34,021 Corvettes rolled off the end of the assembly line for the 2006 production model year, the second year of the C6 generation Corvette. Production volumes remained solid in 2006 despite.
The C4 generation Corvette cars should have begun selling in 1983, but they didn’t. Development and quality control issues prevented the introduction of the C4 Corvette until March of 1983.
After the popularity of the 1978 Pace Car and Silver Anniversary Editions in 1978, Corvette was about to set another production record – manufacturing more than 50,000 Corvettes in one year.
The first year of C3 Corvette production got off to a strong start for Chevy. A total of 28,566 cars were made for model year 1968.
Late production as the result of the UAW strike most impacted the total sales numbers on the 1970 Corvette. Only 17,316 cars were made for model year 1970.
The 2022 Mid-Engine Corvette certainly provided consumers with plenty to be excited about. To commemorate the C8.R race car's inaugural season, Chevrolet offered its consumers a special, limited-edition appearance package on the 2022 Corvette that was inspired by the IMSA GTLM championship-winning race cars. Only 1000 examples were built, and the package added $6595 to the car's sell price.
For the 2020 model year, Chevrolet manufactured a total of 20,368 Corvettes. A decently strong year given everything going on the in the world. The Coupe was the most popular of the two models available with 82.4% of the 20,368 total.
The final year of C2 Corvette production was another strong one for Chevy. A total of 22,940 cars were made for model year 1967.
Despite the limited number of cosmetic and mechanical changes, the sale of 1994 Corvettes actually rose to 23,330 units despite a modest price increase to $36,185.
In 2017, a total of 32,782 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was down almost 8,000 units versus 2016 despite the introduced of the Z06 convertible and the Grand Sport Coupe and Convertible variants.
In 2001, a total of 35,627 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was strong in 2001 as cars continued to be churned out of the Bowling Green, KY facility.
A total of 21,536 Corvettes were manufactured and sold in 1996. As the model year drew to a close, it was good to see a small, but significant, sales increase had occurred.
1956 saw the introduction of a redesign to the C1 Corvette and the changes made a difference with 3,467 units produced in 1956. All were convertibles since that was the only body style in 1956.
The last C4 ZR-1 was built in 1995, resulting in a total number of 6,939 units being built during its six year production run. Total sales numbers decreased to 20,742 units
A total of 35,310 Corvettes rolled off the end of the assembly line for the 2008 production model year, the fourth year of the C6 generation Corvette. Production volumes fell slightly in 2008 (down from 40,561 units in 2007).
