In 2018 things really slowed down at the Corvette factory. Only 9,686 cars were made in 2018. For those keeping count 2018 was the lowest production volume year since 1959. Not terribly surprising given it was a shortened model year.
In 2017, a total of 32,782 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was down almost 8,000 units versus 2016 despite the introduced of the Z06 convertible and the Grand Sport Coupe and Convertible variants.
In 2016, a total of 40,689 Corvettes were produced. Production volume for the C7 peaked in 2016 and was the only 40,000+ unit year in terms of output at the Bowling Green factory.
In 2015, a total of 34,240 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was strong for the second year of C7 production at Bowling Green, KY despite being down slightly versus 2014. A decent year given the slowing demand for sports cars.
In 2014, a total of 37,288 Corvettes were produced. Production volume was strong for the first year of C7 production at Bowling Green, KY. C7 sales were off to a flying start after a bit of a slowdown at the end of the C6...
